♥ Hollow Victory Postmortem ♥

I figured 10 days after a 10 day game jam's a good time for a little postmortem!

First of all, I want to say I really appreciate everyone who's enjoyed Hollow Victory!  For such a small game, people have been receiving it so well.  There's something really affirming about creating things that are extremely to my tastes and have it liked by so many people, thank you very much! ♥

I'm happy these 2 made such an impression!

As for the game itself, I'm still satisfied wth the work that went into the project,  happy with what I took away from it, and still very excited to make more VNs!! >:) Probably more now than when I went into O2A2! (I potentially could have put off releasing the artbook as I'm suffering a bit from hand pains that the rushing for it caused, but it's nothing a couple days of rest won't fix.)

I was a little worried about the VN coming off a little too seriously haha-- watching the letsplays (thank you again!) I'm glad the general reaction/ vibe a lot of the time is along these lines:

I've also been taking some time out this week to have some fun with my characters.... I think I have a bad habit of finishing up a project and having the fun stop there (at least publically) so here's some silly textposts I've been making using Xael and the others! (I unironically find it a handy way to get the feel/humor of a character down more):

(For those of you who haven't seen, the red guy at the bottom is the Hero that defeated Xael! As for how he did that? ...uh...well... )

Thank you very much for the 8k+ views and nearly 2k downloads in a little less than 2 weeks! As of writing this, I can see Hollow Victory on the /games page....it's so high! (I'm enjoying it for the brief moment it'll be up there haha)

I have a few other projects to complete before revisiting Prin and Xael, but they're not going anywhere!!  I'll be finishing up work on a commercial VN, get to JKHA's CGS, and work on a PC98 inspired VN, all while I chip away at solidifying a prequel VN for Xael and the others.
